It seems that French & Saunders have decided to call it a day as a duo after 20 years as a comedy partnership. I must admit that their most recent offer called ‘Jam and Jerusalem’ did not get my vote. The whole thing didn’t seem to gel and seemed like it was written to employ all their ‘mates’. That aside, I did enjoy their sketch shows in the 80’s and 90’s and do think that they added a valuable contribution to female comedy leading the way for many other female comedy performers.
