Today I got a telephone call from a male who said that he was calling on behalf of a magazine who said that they specialise in kitchens and luckily for me, my postcode had just been chosen for a ‘free kitchen’ make over … wow I thought, letting my imagination run away with me, a free new state of the art kitchen, new cabinets, new flooring, a beautiful oven and then I banged my head against the wall. The niggling sensation that maybe this was all just a big sales pitch was right … by the end of the telephone call he had tried to make an appointment with a ‘magazine designer’ to and measure up my kitchen for a very cheap quote .. no longer free unless it was chosen for this ‘imaginery magazine’ …. hey they will just try anything!!

Well I hate to say it but since leaving full time employment I have become a bit of a tele addict! So I thought I’d give our latest weekday early evening offering (5.00pm - 6.00pm) from ITV with Anthony Cotton a chance. I have to say that within 5 minutes I had to switch over to ‘Richard and Judy’ as I couldn’t watch any more of ‘Anthony Cotton’ doing a poor man’s version of Paul O’Grady. Really ITV need to come up with something better than this if they want to gain more viewers .. it was tedious and mediocre in the extremis.
