Why does it not surprise me that there is a report out stating that there is elder abuse in NHS Hospitals and Care Homes and calling for measures to be put in place to stop this. After my experience in an NHS hospital when I broke my ankle, I completely understand how patients can be neglected by some staff in the NHS. Let’s hope this report makes a difference and leads to positive action to improve the way we treat not only elder patients but all patients that are vulnerable.
