Gary Beadle, best known for his role in Eastenders as Paul Trueman is currently making a series called ‘Call Mickey Man for HIre’ which will initially be transmitted via the internet. Apparently, Gary has been writing this series for two whole years and it has finally come to fruition. Basically, it is about a Gigolo, (Gary) looking for love. The pictures that i’ve seen so far make the show look quite zany, with Gary taking on lots of different characters as well as compromising positions!.. i must say I am looking forward to watching the finished production. Even though alas he didn’t write a part for me in it!!!

With a new Producer on board, Eastenders, has opted to bring back two popular characters from it’s past, soon we are going to have the pleasure of Rickeeee (which has to be screamed Ric -k - eeee) and Bianca when they both return to the Square. Now if they’re bringing Rickee and Bianca back .. will Eastenders do a Dallas type thing and bring back a dead character like Bobby Ewing? Maybe they could bring back ‘Tiffany’, in fact let’s face it Eastenders has a terrific amount of dead characters to choose from, Mark Fowler, Den Watts, Pauline Fowler, Cathy Beale.. hey what about bringing back Lofty …..

If you have a passion for all things French, why not visit the France Show at Olympia in London. The show covers a host of things including travel, property, beauty products, culture, food, and wine and one of the star attractions will be the prospect of meeting the superb French chef Jean-Christophe Novelli. The France Show 2008 (formerly known as Vive La France) at Olympia runs between 18-20 January 2008 and is a fantastic event to go visit and if you pre-register at France Show now you can get up to six tickets free.

As we get closer to the month of December and the Christmas period is upon us, it is generally quite a slow time workwise for actors as auditions become scarce - in fact, unless you have already been cast in a show where your dates go through the Christmas period you are pretty much unemployed as an actor through this period. Even pantomime’s have been cast by this point, so unless you get the call for a casting for the odd last minute advert audition you might as well factor in a holiday at this time of year and enjoy the festivities.

One of my favourite places to go shop is the DWS Designer Warehouse Sale. The warehouse sale is based near to Kings Cross Underground Station in Balfe Street and starts on Friday 30th November til 2nd December 2007 and it’s well worth a visit. I’ve managed to buy really nice one off designer gear every time I’ve been at super discount prices.
They charge a small entrance fee and be warned they don’t allow coats/bags inside the warehouse, so you have to leave them with a person at the front door who safeguards them. I tend to take as little extra baggage as possible with me when I go.
Now if for any reason you’re not in London on these dates check out their website as they do hold these sales at least 4 times a year so it’s worth getting on their mailing list. Happy Shopping.

Well we’ve just picked up our 12lb turkey for roasting, which was very small in comparison to everybody elses!! The poor shopkeeper’s arms will ache tomorrow lifting all those huge turkeys into bags. Now I hate to admit my ignorance but I never really knew what Thanksgiving was for before today, so I asked. I was told that it goes way back to the first settlers in America and It is to give thanks for a good harvest. So now I’ve equated it with our harvest festival in the UK.
What is really nice about it, is it’s a kind of christmas dinner without the pressure of having to buy presents. Apparently, I am told that more Americans travel for Thanksgiving than any other holiday in the US as this year they get almost five days leave (well unless you are in retail).
Just like our ‘January Sales’, there are ‘discount offers’ in all stores starting straight after Thanksgiving which is always on the third Thursday of November each year. We’re being sent so much information on how much discount we can have soon they’ll be paying us to take home their goods!! The competition is fierce and they employ all kinds of strategies to get your custom and every year the sales start on Friday, known as Black Friday for retail, as their takings on this day dictate their sales figures for the christmas period. That’s something I really like about the US you can really plan your shopping.

My brother Perry Benson has acted in many things but rarely has he been asked to do ‘horror’. Earlier this year he was cast in a horror movie called ‘Mum & Dad’. He plays an airport baggage handler that has a penchant for killing ……
At the moment they are mulling over their offers for distribution of this film, however, Perry went to see it and said it was very scary. So watch out for it …..

I just love the fact that cardigans are back in fashion this season. Long ones, short ones, fluffy ones, sequined ones … they’re all up there on the ‘to buy’ list. This season you can wear a cardy and not be thought of as a frumpy ‘Pauline Fowler’ lookalike (Pauline Fowler was a middle aged frumpy character from the UK Soap Eastenders - just in case you didn’t know). Well unless you prefer to buy those thick cable knit cardies that only the thinnest of women can wear.
What’s great is I can just pull out my array of cardies that I’ve stored away for just such a season yippee
